So I just finished watching the movie “Elvis.” After watching all the oily slithering of the EUROPEAN carnie “Col Tom Parker, ” I remembered that Elvis was trained in American Kenpo Karate by Ed PARKER (I don't know if this is a code name, but keep reading.)
I also “elected” (I think?) to be trained in American Kenpo back in high school from a DIRECT Utah line to the “Parker” lineage. There was always a little of an “Omerta” feel about that whole circle of people..
I was “invited/(security)?” to go with a BUNCH of Black Belts to the Salt Lake International Airport to “welcome” Ed Parker to the city. Fun fact—he graduated from BYU (where my murdered professor uncle taught- see My Story, Part Five?) Anyway, WHY was a high-school (17 maybe?) orange? belt “invited” to such an important LATE-NIGHT airport arrival?
It's also “interesting” that Ed Parker died roughly 2 years later of a “heart attack” on a flight to Honolulu, Sat 15 Dec 1990.
My DIRECT "Sensei" and I are apparently the only ones still alive in my "Kenpo circle of friends." We haven't spoken in 30+ years, and it looks like I SHOULD NOT reach out to him.
Strangely, looking back my high-school buddy who "recruited" me into Kenpo died of "severe health complications" back in 2008- BEFORE his 40th birthday..
Well, I guess I got their "spooky" attention now.. "take it easy.. take it Langley... don't let the voice of your own Dia drive YOU CRAZY!!
And I would NEVER EVEN contemplate suicide!!
